Project Introductory Fieldtrip

As planned in our 1st meeting, Richard and I met in Barry Island’s train station on Wednesday the 12th at 9.00am. The objective of this fieldtrip is to observe features of the outcrops that we’re going to get our data from. It was a perfect day to engage into fieldwork that day. There have been a few occurrences of Tahaaluf during the time of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Some of the examples are elaborated as below.

Definition of Tahaaluf Siyasi, in linguistics context.
The word Tahaaluf contains 3 arabic letters, which are ‘Ha’’, ‘Lam’ and ‘Fa’’. A prominent scholar, Ibnu Zakaria is quoted in a book entitled ‘Mu’jam Maqayis al-Lughah’ to have said that the root word of Tahaaluf is Hilfu. The word Hilfu was made of the letters ‘Ha’’, ‘Lam’ and ‘Fa’’, which literally means treaty.

Introduction
The idea of the enraging issue of the Islamic political treaty (tahaaluf siyasi) is not clearly understood by certain factions of the society, of whom are engaging in such treaty. Even worst, such misunderstanding could cause greater confusion among the masses.
