An Other Way

Tell Him your problem

One of my many interests is reading. And another one is sharing what I’ve read. The latter involves a lot of talking. But I must say i’m not a good public speaker, not like Tok Guru Nik Aziz nor Anwar nor Khalid Samad of course. This, however, did not discourage me from addressing issues in large groups.

I am always enthusiastic and passionate at any events which involve me talking or explaining on something, especially when requested to do so. I noticed that I tend to make a long list of mistakes while speaking up. I somehow felt that this might have affected my heart. Small dots kept piling on top of one another producing a larger black dot.

My heart felt a little bit unrest a few hours ago. I then went for Isha’ prayer. The heart kept pouncing and pouncing. I then remembered a reminder from a friend on praying to God. “Pray to God as if you’re pouring whatever that’s in your heart to your lover!”

Interestingly, it worked! I don’t know why and how, but my heart felt at ease immediately afterwards.

Tell Him your problem. But tell Him the truth. And be honest. He is The Greatest Listener anyway, so there’s nothing to lose.
